Abstract

This thesis is on the topic of the problem of corrosion attack of the steels and possibilities of the steel corrosion protection in aggressive corrosion environments of the coking plants. The first part describes the history of the coke production in Jan Šverma coking plant. It also deals with technologies of coke production and follow emerging products and wastes from the coking production process. The second part focuses on the corrosion description from general point of view. Character of the corosion was observed mainly on the plain steels (according standards CSN 411375, 412022, 411373, 411416) with protective coating systems. Consequently was observed the steel degradation due to corrosion attack in various enviroments of coking plants. The final section describes the arrangements and recommendations which should lead to avoidance or slowdown of the steel corrosion in coking plant.
