Optimalizace proudění lázně v mezipánvi plynulého odlévání oceli s využitím numerických simulací

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the tundish, its description and function during steel casting. It is focused on the investigation of bath flow during steel casting using numerical simulations. Furthermore, this work analyzes five literary works on this topic and the last part – the experimental part, was subjected to a comparison of two models of flow turbulence (k-epsilon and k-omega) of steels with different casting speeds. At the end of this work, a summary of findings from the measurement and evaluation of individual variants is made.
