Abstract
The main objective of this Bachelor's thesis is to analyze the EU regulations on commercial banking. This thesis focuses on the evaluation of these regulations and analysis of their influence on services and products, which are offered by commercial banks in the Czech Republic. Two parts will be introduced, a theoretical part and a practical part. The first part presents the development of the regulations of banking. Furthermore, primary directives issued by the EU on the topic are outlined in this section. The practical part deals with the evaluation of the current valid directives, which modify the form of the products and services, which are offered by the commercial banks in the EU. The questions -- whether the current directives are abided in the Czech Republic, and therefore if the Czech banks fulfill the requirements of the European legislation -- are also investigated in this section.
