Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the influence of circumferential weld joints on the integrity of steel pipelines which are intended for the distribution of heating gases in the gas industry. Part of the theoretical work is the analysis of the requirements for material properties of steel pipe materials in the gas industry which are intended for public supply. In the gas industry steel materials are used for pipeline applications that have been processed into normalized annealed or thermomechanically processed state. The aim of the experimental part is to verify the individual pipe materials and their suitability for the production of a quality weld joint with respect to the fusion welding method used, by evaluating the non-destructive and destructive mechanical and metallographic tests of the weld joints of the individual materials. The production of welded joints was carried out by the method of fusion welding which is commonly used in assembly practice in the construction of gas distribution installations.
