Abstract

The subject and scope of the PhD thesis is the issue of increasing of reliability within electric power supply in a local distribution system of an industrial plant using the operation failure database on the system inspected. The first part is focused on a collection of information and documentation related to the operation of the local distribution system in the premises of the industrial plant which focuses on pig iron and metallurgy production and processing, as well as on engineering production. Additionally, the work deals with calculation of reliability indices of equipment and components that are later used to determine the reliability of the power supply within selected parts of the distribution system. The final part brings the analysis of failure causes at the entrance overhead lines of the superior system, transmission transformers, cable lines and switching elements of the local distribution system.
