This bachelor thesis deals with floods in terms of flood planning. It is defined what a flood is and what its types are. Then the thesis deals with the degrees of flood activity and subsequently with flood authorities. Flood plans are analyzed in detail, focusing on municipality flood plan, and there is also a list of legal documents related to floods. Flood protection in Bavaria has also been mentioned. The last part of the thesis is focused on the village of Morávka and its flood plan.
