Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to develop a new method that can detect hemolytic blood plasma in blood products. At this time nurses determined the color of blood plasma and subjectively determined the color of blood plasma with the table with the reference color. The human eye isn´t considered accurate color meter so it is better this subjective method replace by objective method. An objective optical method can be a method that utilizes to recognition color the image sensors. Image sensor is recorded color of blood plasma which is then subsequently processed by a specially designed algorithm that can determine the color of blood plasma. Determining of color is realized in three color spaces RGB, Lab and xyY. Graphical output expresses the representation of the reference color images in the color space. This software which is used for image processing is designed in MATLAB.
