Abstract
ADÁMEK, J. The wettability of the ceramic materials in interaction with the selected metallic systems. Ostrava: VŠB-TU Ostrava, Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, 2016
Refractory materials plays an essential role during casting processes and are constantly in direct contact with the molten metal. Characterization of behavior on this interface is very important for the optimization of casting processes. This diploma thesis investigates the interaction of these systems by determining wettability and erosive effects. In total 42 wettability measurements and 28 erosion tests on various interfaces was performed. It was found that significant effect on the mutual behavior have both metal material as well as ceramic materials, in which a significant influencing parameters showed: Al2O3 content in the sample, the porosity and chemical heterogeneity. Based on these tests was chosen as the most suitable ceramic material MK82. On the contrary material marked as SNII proved to be the least appropriate.
