Výroba a ověření průtokového tlumiče pomocí 3D tisku pro zbraň Foxtrot Mike FM - 9

Abstract

The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis establishes a comprehensive knowledge base on firearm sound suppressors and additive manufacturing (3D printing) technology. The practical objective was to design and produce 3D-printed structural models of a Tri-lug interface adapter and a body with Flow-Through internal geometry, specifically for the Foxtrot Mike FM-9 firearm. These models were utilized to verify manual fitment on the weapon's interface. In response to the amendment of the Firearms and Ammunition Act as of January 1, 2026, all model components were demonstrably destroyed. Acoustic testing of the models could not be conducted due to the requirement of a ZL3 firearms license for development and manufacturing, which exceeded the scope of the thesis for both time and financial reasons. However, the thesis provides baseline data obtained by measuring the acoustic signature of the Foxtrot Mike FM-9 firearm and two conventional sound suppressors (B&T AG SD-988100/-C). The measurement was performed using two methods: a certified KIMO DB200 sound level meter and a custom-built sound recording setup. This data serves as a foundation for future scientific research.
