Analýza ochrany osobních údajů ve vybrané společnosti

Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on current issue of personal data protection analysis in a selected company. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether the established system of personal data protection in the selected company is in conformity with the law and to propose further recommendations in this area. In the theoretical part, there is the protection of personal data in the field of business defined represented mainly by historical development, revisions of the legal framework or the principles of personal data processing. Legislation related to this topic is also an equally important area. In order to understand the whole thesis better, basic terms such as personal data, anonymous data or special categories of personal data are defined here as well. The individual stages of processing are elaborated for labor law relations. This is also related to personal data protection entities, which include controllers, processors and recipients or trustees. In the practical part, there is a selected join stock company introduced as well as its organizational structure and the system of personal data protection. Subsequently, personal data processing before, during and after employment is analyzed. Based on the risk analysis, the most common pitfalls for the given company are evaluated. To make a comprehensive evaluation, the results of questionnaire survey were used, in which an awareness of Czech citizens was inquired as it comes to personal data protection and their processing.
