The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the preparedness of objects for power outages and the possibility of using mobile backup sources of electric energy in the Olomouc Region. The introductory part is devoted to the basic description of Olomouc region, economy and energy in the region. The following chapter deal with the general aspects of energy safety, identification of strategic objects in the region and the preparedness of these objects for power outages. Subsequently, the possible consequences of power outages for specific buildings are described. This part is followed by a description of the current state of mobile backup sources of electric energy in the region and their usability in emergencies. The practical part presents the analysis of energy safety of selected subjects in the region. The specific steps of the procedure up to the required outputs are characterized and the methodology of the process of assessment of identified objects is outlined. The conclusion is devoted to the evaluation of the findings and to confirm or refute the established hypotheses. It also includes proposals individual measures and priorities to increase the level of preparedness against power outages in the region.
