POSSIBILITIES OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES SUPPORT THROUGH THE REGIONAL OPERATIONAL PROGRAMMES OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC DURING PROGRAMMING PERIOD 2007-2013

The main aim of Diploma thesis is analysis and evaluation of possibilities of small and medium-sized enterprises support in the Regional Operational Programmes in the Czech Republic during programming period 2007-2013.
The Diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. After first chapter, introduction, follows second chapter, which describes theoretical foundations of business support in Czech Republic in period 2007-2013. It introduces the importance of the SME sector, basic legislative activity in this sector, framework of support for SMEs and its basic forms in the EU.
It also provides an overview of SMEs’ situation in the Czech Republic, legislative regulation of business support in the Czech Republic, SMEs’ progress in the Czech Republic compared with this progress in the EU.
The third chapter describes framework of the Structural Aid in the Czech Republic, objectives and instruments of the Cohesion Policy and programming and financial framework of the Structural Aid in the Czech Republic. In the second part of the chapter are described regional operational programmes icluding their realization in the Czech Republic.
The fourth practical chapter contains identification of small and medium enterprises support through the regional operational programmes followed by its evaluation and comparison within cohesion regions. The second part of the chapter is focused on evaluation of drawing process by small and medium-sized enterprises in Czech Republic till today.
