Řídicí jednotka flip-dot displeje

Abstract

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of an interface for controlling a display module utilizing flip-dot technology. The aim of the work was to analyze the operating principle of a flip-dot display and, based on this analysis, to design a suitable electronic solution enabling its control via a microcontroller. The introductory part of the thesis describes the flip-dot display technology and its principle of operation. Subsequently, the work focuses on the reverse engineering of the used display module and understanding its control method. Based on the acquired knowledge, a control system based on the ESP32 microcontroller is designed. The designed device was implemented as a printed circuit board, and the corresponding manufacturing documentation was prepared. In the final phase of the project, the functionality of the proposed solution is verified through experimental testing. The result of this work is a functional interface allowing the control of a flip-dot display panel using a microcontroller system.
