Abstract

The diploma thesis is focuses on the assessment of thermochemical properties of mixed municipal waste with regard to energy recovery with respect to the valid and newly planned legislation. One of the possibility is the direct incineration waste to energy plant. The waste must have a certain minimum heating value is that the waste has to burn individually without the supporting fuel. The computation of the calorific value was performed on the results of thermogravimetric analysis, elementary composition and calorimetry of the mixed municipal waste sample.
