Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with magnetic separation. The first part is a research part and is devoted to the description of magnetic and electromagnetic fields, types of magnets, magnetic quantities and the basics of magnetic separation. The second part contains the basic classification of magnetic separators. In the experimental part, the magnetic separator's separating ability is verified on four specific samples that came from the Příbram heap, Měděnec in Krušné Hory, the Cínovec tailing and the last sample came from the Lom pod Libínem. This section describes the experimental measurement procedure and then the conclusion contains summary of the results.
