Abstract

The Bachelor Thesis aims to familiarize readers with the current legislation, procedures and evaluation methods of raw and drinking water monitoring. Also the data processing for the years 2006 to 2014, in the Kružberk Reservoir, which is a drinking water reservoir to supply Ostrava and its surroundings. I have dealt with the volume and quality of the water in this reservoir. Attention is paid especially to the monitored period of the year 2013, March and April in particular, when there was an extreme shortage of water in the reservoir. With regard to the quality of the water, the following indicators were observed: N-NH4+, N-NO3, phosphorus, CODcr and BOD5 at the feed into the Kružberk Reservoir and at the run-off. All the data were plotted into graphs for better clarity and compared. It is worth mentioning the difference in the values of N-NH4+ at the feed and at the run-off from the reservoir in years 2009 and 2013.
