Abstract
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a communication node for an
Internet of Things network using LoRaWAN technology in the 433 MHz frequency band. The work
assumes that although the 868 MHz band is the most widely used in Europe, the lower frequency of
433 MHz offers good physical properties for signal propagation through obstacles. The aim of the work
is to create functional hardware and software design of a terminal device like the alarm that will be
able to communicate reliably in this band, and to compare its properties with other technologies. The
result of the work is not only a functional communication node, but also a design of a laboratory task
for student teaching and practical instructions for implementing the node.
