Abstract
This work is a precis of present knowledge of forging titanium rods. Teoretic part is focused for describing technology of making and also for structural behavior of titanium including aplication of titanium. Experiment is focused for describing structure of forged material after forming and heat treatment and also on factors affecting deformation process. Within experimental research is partially solved an issue of titanium heat treatment in a company VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY. The meaning of this research is comparing experimental knowledge of this process and teoretical knowledge in purpose of possible improvement and insight of this issue.
