Abstract

This thesis analyses the management of a selected housing cooperative. It aims at proposing reductions on its expenditure side. It is based on a presumption or a condition that current state of management of Olomouc District Housing and Building Cooperative, based in Uničov, is not efficient enough and extra savings can be found. Methods used for solving were statistical figures compare method and methods of analysis and deduction. Internal documents, bylaws and accounting documents for the period 2005-2009 of a selected housing cooperative were used for the purpose of the analyses. The conclusion of this thesis is a set of specific recommendations which are in line with the aim of the thesis. The most substantial ones belong to the personnel field, further savings could be recommended on postal and telecommunication services as well. All recommendations source from analyses of similar management and the knowledge of a current practice.
