Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on description and exploration of the Internet protocol of version 6 and routing protocols that can be used in networks working on this Internet protocol. In the first part of this thesis formats and types of IPv6 addresses are analyzed. The second part is focused on theoretical analysis routing protocols. Routing protocol OSPFv3 is analyzed more in detail. The last part is focused on suggestion of topology of network which works with individual routing protocols. In this part the practical configurations of routers are also mentioned. The most emphasized is configuration of routing protocol OSPFv3 where redistribution and exchange of messages between fields is solved.
