Společenstvo měkkýšů akumulačních ostrohů na soutocích řek v urbanizovaném prostředí Ostravy

Abstract

This thesis focuses on a detailed study of molluscs (Mollusca), especially gastropods (Gastropoda), on selected accumulation and anthropogenic islands located on river confluences within the city of Ostrava. The research was carried out on three confluences, where the occurrence of selected species of this taxon was monitored between May and August 2024, using manual collection methods. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a comprehensive view of molluscs, including their general characteristics, ecological importance, ability to act as bioindicators of environmental change and the issue of species endangerment. It also focuses on the characteristic understory of the city of Ostrava. The practical part of the thesis describes in detail the research itself, its methodology, course and results.
