Abstract

Media play nowadays a very important role. They show us what is the world in which we live. The aim of this thesis is to make a quantitative and qualitative analysis and interpretation of broadcast media posts on various regional cities in Czech Republic in the framework of the national Czech TV Nova and TV from 2004 to 2010. Theoretical part consists of a description of the socio-economic characteristics of regional cities Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on the analysis of media posts on regional towns. Quantitative analysis is focused on the amount of contributions of the various regional cities. Qualitative analysis is oriented focus of the reports from these cities. The thematic structure of media contributions is made up of news economic, social, infrastructure, environmental and other reports. Intercity comparison is used to detect certain regularities between all these cities.
