Regenerace vnitrobloků Ostrava – Mariánské hory

Abstract

This diploma thesis creates a comprehensive project proposal to improve the living environment of the courtyards in Ostrava – Mariánské hory. Presented proposals are focused on five courtyards in streets Sušilova, M. Pujmanové, Korunní, Hudební, Lomená, Přemyslovců, Závišova, Klicperova, Nivnická, Karasova, Václavská a Raisova.

The aim of thesis is to analyse currents problems of courtyards, which may no longer suit their potential use, to present proposals for their regeneration and to came up with new plans for unused places. As part of this analyse, it is necessary to consider what is best suit for the locals here, to help them feel safe and comfortable and to have a place to enjoy their free time. Courtyard’s regeneration mainly focuses on the urban design with solutions on how to expand parking spaces, adjust trees or areas for various leisure activities with a suitable addition of street furniture.
