Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the expected benefits of the deployment of the bucket wheel excavator KK 1600 in terms of the overburden extraction and of the economic benefits of the operation of the new large-scale excavator in the Bílina Mines locality. There are described the bucket wheel excavators, especially the technology used in the mining areas of Severočeské doly a.s., in the thesis. Furthermore, the geological structure of the area in which the bucket wheel excavator will be placed is described. The next part of the thesis determines the expected volume of extracted materials by this bucket wheel excavator in various variants of the mining site's lifetime, further the costs associated with its operation are determined, which are compared with its share in the realized production for the given variants of the mining site's lifetime.
