Využití zabudovaných GPS modulů mobilních telefonů

Abstract

This thesis is focused on mobile devices that contain built-in GPS module and support Java ME. Main theme is to develop an application using these properties. First of all GPS system will be described, its properties and possibilities of use. Followed by information about the WMS servers, and the procedure how to obtain maps from it in the required format, size and exact location. Then the main characteristics of Java are described, mostly about the mobile edition. More details concerning individual configurations and profiles that support mobile devices will be given. There are written restrictions resulting from the limited possibilities of Java ME, the hardware shortcomings of these small devices. Next auxiliary program Tailator for maps adjustment is presented. And finally the principle of operation of own navigation applications for mobile devices called GPS-Navigator is described.
