Možnosti nasazení nástrojů Ushahidi a CrissisCommons pro zvládání krizových situací v ČR

Abstract

This thesis deals with implements developed by Ushadidi and CrisiCommons companies and it discusses the possibilities of using these implements while handling various situations. What is widely used to put on the program platforms of both the companies are crowdsource mapping and filtring tools. The platforms like SwiftRiver or Crowdmap are used to map crisis situations but their usage, however, is much wider. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the tools which are used by various companies in order to map crisis situations and to consider some of the possibilities of putting these on in our conditions. The thesis also deals with processes of making particular projects. It also mentions some recommendations for project makers referring to how and what to avoid or what to take advantage of while working on a project. The thesis is also concerned with some basic elements, such as citizen journalism, crowdsourcing or geospatial information and it describes the work of volunteers involved in particular projects as well. A part of the thesis brings forward my own realization and analysis of now available maps, including their classification according to the field of interest.
