Abstract

The diploma thesis named „Verification of expert system of casting defects“with deals testing given system for object precise of function by later diagnosis casting defects in foundries. The leading chapter deals about problems solving of castings defect and prevention theirs occurrence. For the verification of functionality of expert system were used castings from Unex foundry, l.t.d. Uničov. Kind of these defects allowed verifying expert system in ordinary foundry practice. Brief description of program which works with symptoms of casting defects, let us say with appearance of surface and shape of defect is written in more detail in chapter 4. Practising part of verification of expert system has got three variations: I. The first diagnoses of defects is determined by foundry technologist, after is compared with expert system. II. The diagnoses of defects are accomplished by program firstly and after are verify by foundry technologist. III. The last variation of verification expert system is accomplished diagnoses on similar castings by which were detected several defects in different of kind and different places. End of thesis is analising functionality of expert system which is verified on agreements and disagreements by expert system and by foundry technologist.
