Abstract

This thesis is focused on precious metals and coins in Czech history. Gold and silver are very unusual metals not only with its value but also with its rarity. As it is well known for centuries, gold and silver are great metals to work with and thanks to this fact and its value they have become historical currency. This thesis describes the history of issuing this currency together with its monarchy. Another advantage of these metals are used in banking. The value of gold and silver on the world’s market continue to grow and thanks to this huge demand these metals are becoming more and more popular. We will follow the footsteps of precious metals in a professional tour, which I tailored to those who share the same fascination and admiration of these metals as me for their grandeur and position in the world.
