Abstract

This Bachelor thesis deals with the history of extraction of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Czech republic, Poland and Austria. Here is described the development of petroleum industry and technology from the early beginnings of mining to the present day. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to individual museums, which represent the history of the exploitation of hydrocarbons in these locations. At the same time is here described their emergence and exhibitions that are in them located. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the design field trip for students of Technical University in Ostrava. It aims to acquaint participants with the history of the exploitation of hydrocarbons in central Europe, in particular in the area of the Vienna basin and the galician part of Poland.
