Abstract

This Bachelor thesis describes surface modification of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V using technology called micro arc oxidation and subsequent analysis of thus modified samples on atomic force microscopy with focus on sample surface morphology. Samples were submitted to further analysis using x-ray diffraction to determine exact chemical composition of protective layer created by micro arc oxidation on the surface of sample. Using these data, we can summarize success of used process in relation to quality of created protective layer structure.
