Abstract
Bioceramic materials create an essential part of nowadays medicine. The materials are widely used across the spectrum of medicine branches. The bachelor thesis called „Properties of ceramic joint replacement“ deals with microhardness and closer analysis of bioceramic which is largely composed from Al2O3. Microhardness for the examined material was tested on microhardness machine LECO LM 100. An average figure of microhardness for the sample makes 1926 HV1.
