Abstract

This work deals with design and measurement of drive with induction motor, which is controlled by frequency converter. It contains theory of induction motor speed control by frequency modification, frequency inverter theory, its impact on induction motor charakteristics and type test of designed drive according to specifications. The type test diagnoses electrical and mechanical characteristics of regulated drive. It includes loading curve definition, temperature-rise test, no-load current and losses definition, noise test and mechanical vibration test, etc. There is also technical economic analysis of specific example of air-conditioning fan drive in my work. There is solved modification of uneconomical regulation of fan volume flow by throttling flap which is replaced by modern system with frequency control and high efficiency.
