Abstract
This thesis explores and analyzes teaching quality evaluation at universities in the Czech Republic and foreign countries like Canada, USA, and several others in Europe.
Our goal is to compare the ways teaching quality evaluation is performed in different universities.
The first part is theoretical where are defined and clarified terms related to benchmarking and teaching quality evaluation at universities. The second part is practical and it contains an analysis teaching quality evaluation at selected foreign universities and describes the current state at technical university “Vysoka Skola Banska – Technicka Univerzita Ostrava”. In conclusion, there are presented some recommendations and ideas for improvement of the current state.
