Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the process of recruitment, orientation and induction of new staff in the selected building society. Initial problem is the high staff fluctuation and very low efficiency. Theoretical part describes activities related to staff recruitment. The practical part already deals with these activities in a particular building society. First there are evaluated indicators of staff fluctuation and then quantified the costs of acquisition and incorporation of new employees. The practical part is completed by a questionnaire survey, which aim to uncover any weaknesses that could occur in the process of incorporating new workers. Suggestions and recommendations that are based on survey results focus on better approach of managers and need for wider support to new staff.
