Publikace historických map Ostravy v prostředí mapového serveru

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with publication of digitized maps owned by the city archive of Ostrava and with maps publication with help of web mapping technologies. Based on thesis requirements (interest in Ostrava) it had been chosen appropriate maps for georectification and publication using the map server technologies on available hardware. Developed application is going to be used by its users mainly for viewing and analyzing of maps in geographic space and overlapping of maps shows changes of Ostrava during time. First part of thesis deals with an overview of used software, standards, formats, current trends and procedures. The second part describes the implementation process from input data, through the process of their processing, to the development of an application and deployment method in the production environment. This thesis contains administrator guide, user documentation and disc with source code files.
