Abstract
On the basis of the electric parameters of UTP cables is designed a simulator, which will simulate the length of the metallic lines. Purpose of the design is circuit, where user would be able to choose from several designed models of metallic lines, which will be used to simulation. Circuit will be tested on FPGA, using the digital filters, especially the FIR filter, which can simulate legth of the metallic lines. On the introduction is mentioned a theory of the UTP cables, which represent metallic lines, FIR filters, then design of the circuit and resume of testing design.
