Generování sítí konečných prvků ve 2D

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is mesh generation for the finite element method in 2D. The first part provides an overview of several methods, with focus on the centroidal Voronoi tessellations and related Delaunay triangulations. Then a mesh generating program is created in the Matlab system based on the centroidal Voronoi tessellation method. The program is used to generate several meshes. Corresponding meshes are also generated using the mesh generator from the Matlab PDE toolbox and a Distmesh generator. The meshes and the generating methods are then compared.
