Abstract
This diploma thesis is focused on Electronic Contracting in Practice. The aim of the thesis is to provide a basic overview of the researched issue to analyze and subsequently evaluate what knowledge individual respondents have regarding electronic commerce and their experience with it.
In theoretical part, an electronic contracting is defined, including its legislation on territory of the Czech Republic, followed by the history of the development of the Internet, electronic commerce and electronic business. Attention is also paid to the Association for electronic commerce, because it focuses on the certification of e-commerce. Furthermore, electronic contracts typical for electronic commerce are listed here. Detailed attention is paid to legal proceedings and the process of concluding contracts. For the complete overview of electronic contracts, it was also necessary to define the essential elements of the contract content, its form and the ways, by which the contract can be withdrawn.
In practical part, an analysis of electronic commerce in practice is carried out on the basis of a questionnaire survey. It is determined, which goods or services consumers most often buy via the Internet, which payment method they use for purchases, whether they read the terms and conditions, what are the biggest advantages and disadvantages of buying goods or services via the Internet and also how consumers orient in basic law and obligations related to electronic commerce.
In the conclusion, there is the analysis summarized and suggestions that can be used to prevent potential problems related to the electronic commerce are presented.
