Abstract
Coil springs are an important part of the car for comfort and safety while driving. These components have a high demand for durability during use. The thesis examines the influence of defects (notches) on the lifetime during the vibration process and changes in spring properties. Decreasing of fatigue engine power indicates the initiation and propagation of fatigue crack from surface notch on the fatigued spring.
