Financování vědy a výzkumu na veřejných vysokých školách

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the financing of research and development at public higher education institutions. The first part contains a decription of the relevant legislation as well as basic definitions and terms. In the following parts, there are shown the main indicators evaluating the financing of public higher education institutions which are based on the „Principles and Rules for Financing of Public Higher Education Institutions“ and the „Methodology for Evaluation of Results in Research Institutions and for Evaluation of Results of Completed Projects“. Great attention has been paid to the analysis how research and development can be financed by public and private funding. A detailed description of research grants and institutional funding including EU funds ERDF has been carried out. The importance of Operational Programmes for the R&D financing in the Czech Republic has been emphasized. The final part of this thesis gives some development trends and characteristics related to the financing of research and development at public higher education institutions during the latest decade together with an outlook until the year 2019.
