Abstract

Nowadays, due to increasing life expectancy and its increasing standard is given more and more attention to synthetic implants to treat some diseases or correct the consequences caused by them. The topic of this thesis is to investigate the effect of SiO2 content in Si3N4 ceramic coating on the adhesive properties of hydroxyapatite. The theoretical part deals with the description of the properties, production and use of ceramics based on silicon nitride and hydroxyapatite. The content of experimental part is preparation of dense samples of ceramics based on Si3N4 and preparation of hydroxyapatite using a precipitation method and a sol-gel method. There are investigated the effects of different SiO2 content to the structure and adhesion of Si3N4 ceramics. Further are examined the characteristics of deposited coatings and the influence of temperature of calcination / sintering on the reaction between the coated hydroxyapatite and surface of the etched Si3N4 samples, ie mainly SiO2.
