Zhodnocení hospodaření obcí Mikroregionu Buchlov

Abstract

The thesis examines the financial performance of municipalities of the Buchlov Microregion, focusing on public service expenditures for 2017–2021. The comparison includes the per capita expenditure in housing, public utility services and regional development, environmental protection, education and school services, as well as culture, churches and media, representing more than 90 % of total expenditures across all public service functions. The findings show that the municipalities of the Buchlov Microregion have no comparable per capita public service expenditures with a tolerance of ± 5 %. The municipalities spend the largest percentage of their public service budget on housing, public utility services and regional development, totalling 28.77 %. The identified differences in spending on public services are almost three times higher among municipalities. The sub-objective of the paper was to analyse the public amenities of each municipality and to determine whether the existing public amenities are adequate and comparable to other municipalities in the Czech Republic based on the methodology of the Ministry of Regional Development compared by size categories. The findings show that the provision of public services increases with the growth of the population in the municipality and that the provision of public services in the municipalities of the Buchlov Microregion is comparable to other municipalities in the Czech Republic with the same or similar population.
