Analýza protipovodňové ochrany města Bohumín

Abstract

In my Bachelor´s thesis I analyse the situation of flood protection arrangements in Bohumín and it also deals with the suggestion for their improvement. The introduction contains characteristics and the beginning of floods in general, the process of flood solutions in the Czech Republic and other countries. In the next part I describe the Town of Bohumín and its entourage, history of floods and its solutions. In the main part I deal with the description of actual and planned flood-protection arrangements in the town, especially in the urban parts-„Nový Bohumín, Starý Bohumín and Šunychl.“ At the end of my thesis there are my suggestions for improvement of flood-protection in the town.
