Abstract
Today, there are many different solutions for controlling a smart home, and there are different
platforms on the market for IoT (Internet of Things). My proposed solution is using a private cloud
whose physical runtime environment is NAS (Network Attached Storage) from Synology Inc. to
create a web application, which will implement an API (Application Programming Interface) for
communication with PLCs of Teco a.s., which is connected to intelligent wiring. The result is the
control and visualization of home processes using smart devices (mobile phone, tablet, PC) from
different manufacturers that use different operating systems. An integral part of this diploma thesis
is the implementation of artificial intelligence into the application, specifically the neural network
and its use.
