Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the introduction and comparison of existing distances that are used in the field of image analysis. The comparison is focused on metrics geodesic, resistance-geodesic, k-max geodesic and minimum barrier distance, which are implemented with the help of OpenCV library and C++ in the final application for distance transformation of images from dataset. The resulting comparison verified the specific properties of each metric, their success rate on selected images and evaulated their suitability for certain classes of images.
