Abstract
The thesis is focused on studying the effect of two different types of synthetic slags in steel production 42CrMo4 and evaluation of operating heats with a focus on the process of desulphurization of steel on each device. All these melts were made in operating conditions of the steelworks VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a.s. Primarily the degree of desulphurization of steel on each device ladle treatment of steel was evaluated and then the effect of selected parameters on the degree of steel desulphurization was evaluated. These parameters include: slag basicity, optical basicity, the contents of easily reducible oxide, CaO/Al2O3 ration and Mannesmann´s index.
