Vícekriteriální hodnocení environmentální výkonnosti zemí EU

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on assessing the environmental performance of European Union member states using the AHP multi-criteria decision-making method. The objective was to develop a model based on selected environmental, economic, and supplementary indicators to compare the performance of individual countries in the years 2014, 2018, and 2022. The thesis defines the theoretical background and significance of environmental indicators, describes the AHP methodology, the model design, and its application. The analysis includes a sensitivity test to evaluate result stability under changing weights and an alternative scenario aimed at improving the Czech Republic’s ranking. In conclusion, the results are evaluated and the strengths and limitations of the model are discussed.
