GP anténa

Abstract

The subject of this Bachelor thesis is a specific type of antenna, called GP antenna (Ground Plane antenna). The main advantage of GP antenna is that, GP antenna, on its proper construction, does not need any adjustment member of the connection to the transmitter/receiver, against to ungrounded vertical antennas. The first part of my Bachelor work describes the basic principles and characteristics of antennas in General, then the theoretical description, principles and characteristics of the GP antenna. The following is the design and simulation of the GP model, for a specified antenna frequency, in MMANA-GAL freeware simulation tool. The next section covers the practical realization procedure of the antenna. In the last section is the accuracy of a practical proposal, verified by measuring the selected parameters of the constructed antenna.
