Abstract

The thesis deals with the current state policy in the field of waste management in the Czech Republic, which has an impact on the activities of the Technical University of Ostrava. The aim is to evaluate the management of waste in a selected part of the Technical University of Ostrava and propose effective measures that would lead to the reduction of negative impacts on the environment. The introduction provides an overview of existing legislation and conceptions. Subsequently proceeded to assess the state of waste management selected organizational unit Technical University of Ostrava. This evaluation is done by the environmental audit focused on compliance with legislation in the field of waste management.
