Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with public lighting on a bike path which is near the river Ostravice, street Hálkova in Frýdek-Místek. The path wase quipped with unsuitable lamp of the type ball that shone into the entire space and only a small part of the luminous flux fell on the cycle path. The unsatisfactory lamps dazzled and provoked feelings of discomfort in humans and animals that were in the vicinity. In this work, there is a description of special light sources and lamps to illuminate paths. There is portrayed light pollution and its impact on visual comfort and biorhythms. It is also important to state classifying areas into environmental zones. The final section includes a measurement of luminous flux of lamps, conversion of CO2 and calculations of electricity savings. There is a comparison of the old lamps with new ones.
